P20EE Code on Renault & Dacia: The 'Software Prison' of Blue dCi Engines

On Renault/Dacia Blue dCi engines, the appearance of the "Check Anti-pollution system" message (often linked to code P20EE) triggers a stressful countdown: engine lock in 600 miles.

The AdBlue Injector is only half the problem

Crystallization often clogs the AdBlue injector located in the exhaust line. However, the real scandal is the software. Unlike a simple reset, the engine ECU is locked by the brand. Even if an independent mechanic cleans or replaces the injector, the countdown persists. You are forced to pay for a dealer-only software reset.

This practice traps customers and artificially inflates repair bills.
