To counter AdBlue crystallization, the market is full of miracle products, anti-crystallization additives to pour directly into the urea tank.
The Double-Edged Sword
These products (based on surfactants) modify the surface tension of AdBlue to prevent white deposits. It is chemically effective. HOWEVER, manufacturers (Stellantis in particular) strictly forbid the use of additives in their user manuals.
The perfect excuse to refuse to pay
If your tank still ends up deforming (due to the air vent and not injector crystallization) and the manufacturer's lab detects the presence of an additive, they will use this argument to refuse any coverage. Stick to standard quality AdBlue and let the manufacturer take responsibility for their design errors.
